Hello ShakataGaNai/Archives/2007/November, at the Geocoding project we have noticed that you uploaded a number of pictures from one of the less covered regions on earth. Maybe you could consider adding coordinates to some of your images. They will show up on the WikiMiniAtlas and the Google Earth Commons-layer. Thank you for providing images to the Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on the Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Thank you for this nice picture of Amazon Kindle! I thought it wasn't available to customers before next week? I'm very happy to see my last night WP edit on your picture! How does the device perform? I'm writing a paper on it please let me know if it will be part of the mobile commerce revolution!

Glad I could help. The first thing I thought of when I ordered my Kindle was to get pictures to WP. In fact I popped it out of the box and started taking pictures before I even started playing with it (well, I did get it as far as the WP page for the Kindle, just cause I could). I'll admit that I'm not a big reader, but I've bought and read more in the last 2 days, than I probably have in the last 2 months - just because its so easy. You can just flutter around, trying out books, skimming the store, etc. I'm rather impressed by the devices performance. While the hardware unit itself isn't perfect, the page flip speed is defenetly acceptable - and for a "generation 1" product, its alot better than most. More importantly Amazon has built a brilliant service. No wifi, no computer software, no usb, no "fiddling". You buy the Kindle, its automatically linked to your Amazon.com account, as soon as the Kindle arrives you can use the store from the device itself and buy books directly, without effort. So, yea, I'm happy with it - and think it really will be the "ipod for reading". Feel free to contact me further if you want addl info. --ShakataGaNai 07:49, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
