Per ticket:2023033010010375 the photo was taken without subject permission. Per Commons:Country_specific_consent_requirements#Canada publishing a picture requires subject permission even if the picture is taken in public space. I doubt that this one was taken in public space. Moreover, the author is blocked for ignoring policies... Ankry (talk) 21:44, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not the original photographer (I was only notified of this because I adjusted the contrast of the original version). I don't have any particular argument against what you said, if it's against Canadian law then it should be deleted, though there are quite a number of other pictures of his that might fall into that category too.
- (And quite a few others that should be deleted because of their very low quality, but that's another discussion).
- I assume you mean he's banned from English Wikipedia, which he has been for a long time? There's no sign of him having been banned from Commons as far as I can see. Ubcule (talk) 18:15, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
